Greeings, My name is Ben Smith, And to ensure that you get the full experiance of my Webpage (more affectionaly called Tridodian log). Below are the recomended settings on your computer. Please note that I assume that you are Using Windows 95. *chuckle* Those using 98, Please refrain from outbursts of laughter.
Also Tridodian Log is optimized for Windows explorer. If your using Netscape I don't have a clue whether anything will work or not. One final Note before I ramble into a topic most of you will never read! BE PATIENT! Most of my pages have many Intricate backgrounds, Big Music and Java applets. My page is configured for My Teacher who has to read it anyways. Well..... Here I go, If you don't want to read this I don't blame you, I don't want to write it. Feel free to go on into the page. If stuff doesn't look right, (such as Backgrounds Tilling) refer back to this page. See you on the Flip side. :)
Screen Pixilation of 800*600
-This is a setting on the computer that can be changed many ways, the fastest is to right click on the desktop, then go to properties. Then go to Display modes and set the Desktop area section to 800 by 600. then go to the tab next to it called settings and do likewise and then press Apply The computer will ask you to Shut the computer down. say yeas and your on the way
-If you do not do this. some of the backgrounds will become tilled, thus taking a very large part of reality away from the site.
Screen color
-Your computer moniter displays colors on little lights called pixels. The average computer has an automatic setting of displaying only 256 colors. Most of the graphics are disighned to show up the best in a 24 million color environment. But with the Screen pixilation running at 800 * 600 the highest you can get is 16 bit. that is about 6 million colors. The more colors your monitor is set to display the better the graphics will look.
-To change the colors. go again to properties. go to Display modes and set it to High color (16 bit) to the same in Settings. And then Press apply. Again the computer will ask you to shut down the computer. do so and then log back on.
-If you don't change the color settings. most of the pictures will look fuzzy, undefined and unrealistic.
Sound Card
-Most of my pages have music on them. But the music will be unavailable if you do not have a sound card. There is nothing you can do about this unless you go and buy one. *The Library computers have no sound cards* Most of My music will sound good on a 16 bit or higher sound card
*Please note that all of the above cannot be changed. and the only requirment the library computers have is the 800 * 600 pixilation*
